Foster Carers` Stories

Our foster carers` experiences

Mick and Sian have been foster carers for The Foster Care Co-operative for over seven years. Their main motivation for becoming carers was to give young people a real opportunity in life.

Mick and Sian have been foster carers for The Foster Care Co-operative for over seven years. Their main motivation for becoming carers was to give young people a real opportunity in life.
When asked what they find most rewarding and challenging about being carers they said: “the challenges and progressions of the children, their education, social interactions and seeing them grow, build self-esteem and form amazing personalities.  Also breaking the code of understanding for each of the children whilst getting to know them and their unique ways. There are no two children the same.”  Since joining FCC Mick and Sian have fostered over twelve children.
