FCC are fully supporting Safer Internet Day, which falls on 7th February this year. Safer Internet Day was set up by the UK Safer Internet Centre, and its aim is to promote the safe and responsible use of technology for young people.
The UK Safer Internet Centre has three main functions:
1) They provide an awareness centre to offer advice and support to children and young people, parents and carers, and schools.
2) Provide a helpline to support professionals working with children and young people with online safety issues.
3) Provide a Hotline as an anonymous and safe place to report and remove child sexual abuse imagery and videos, wherever they are found in the world.
