Laurie Gregory - Founder and Chairman
Qualified Social Worker and Manager with over 30 years’ experience of Local Government Social Services Departments, Laurie’s experience ranged from Social Worker to Deputy Director. He previously fostered a child with disabilities for a total of 13 years and has considerable involvement in a number of charities. Laurie previously worked with several independent fostering agencies before founding The FCC in 1999. He was Executive Director for the first ten years of the agency’s life.
Ian Brazier - Executive Director
Ian is an ex army officer (34 years service all over the world and latterly Commanding Officer at Northwood HQ), a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute with a Strategic Planning and Development Diploma from the Manchester Business School. He has wide ranging experience in both military and family welfare issues and joined FCC in 2009.
Anne Bard - Director of Child Care England
Anne has a CQSW and a BSc (Hons) in Sociology gained in 1977. She has experience as a generic social worker and in fostering, as well as managing a Children and Families Team for nine years and a spell as an Independent Reviewing Officer. She achieved an MBA in 2004, prior to joining The Foster Care Co-operative.
Kim Perkins - Director of Child Care Wales/Registered Manager Wales
Kim has a BA (Hons) in Psychology, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), a Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), achieved her Post Qualifying Award in Social Work in 2007 and her Practice Teaching Award in Social Work in 2008. She gained 15 years of experience of working for a Local Authority in a variety of settings within Children’s Services prior to joining FCC in November 2014.
Angela Tobin - Operational Manager North England
Angela gained her Dip/SW/DipHE in 2000. Prior to that she had a background in Children and Families settings. Following qualification Angela worked in Children and Families LA fieldwork teams and for a number of years worked as Registered Manager of two private sector children’s homes. She joined FCC in January 2007 as a social worker and then became Principal Social Worker for the North West region.
Helen Underwood - Operational Manager South England
Helen gained a CQSW in 1980 and at that time was the youngest qualified Social Worker in Britain. Helen has experience working in a generic local authority team, an intake team and with children with disabilities and their families. In 2004 she gained a Bsc. Hons. in Social Work and a Post Qualifying Award in Social Work whilst working as a Senior Practitioner in a Local Authority Fostering Team. She joined FCC in 2005 as a social worker before becoming Operational Manager for South England.
Tracey Arnold - Operational Manager Wales
Tracey has a Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), a Masters Degree in Economic & Social Studies and in 2014 she gained a Postgraduate Diploma (with distinction) in Managing Practice Quality in Social Care.
Before joining FCC in 2015, she was working for a Local Authority as a Team Manager within a Looked After Children (LAC) Service but also has experience working as a Fostering Team Manager and in a variety of different settings within both Children’s and Adult Services for Local Authorities.
