Senior Supervising Social Workers

£14,786 - £17,473 per annum
(£29,972 - £35,418 FTE)
(dependent on experience)
(+ 45p a mile travel, 32 days annual leave, and an excellent pension scheme)
We are seeking to recruit two experienced and enthusiastic Social Workers to join the Foster Care Co-operative, who have had a foster care presence in this area for several years.
The successful candidates will be involved in recruiting, assessing, supervising and supporting Foster Carers to provide a quality fostering service for looked after children in the East Anglia region.
This role is home based and will involve travel to the homes of our foster carers as required (which will sometimes involve travelling distances). You will also have the opportunity to become involved in projects, training and support groups.
Applicants need to be able to take a flexible approach to working, including out of office hours and must have proven fostering experience (preferably including experience of working within Children’s Services). Applicants must be able to work autonomously and they must hold a Diploma or BA in Social Work (or equivalent Social Work qualification) and be registered with the HCPC.
To allow our Social Workers to provide a thorough, personal and meaningful service to our fostering families, the FCC believe that case loads need to be kept low. The successful applicant will be joining a strong, thriving team with an established foster carer group and highly experienced Social Workers. We are a not for profit organisation, putting the needs of our children and carers first and are looking to appoint Social Workers who are as passionate about this as we are.
