We are absolutely thrilled that Charlotte, one of our care leavers, has written her story about her time in the care of some of our FCC foster carers, and how this has changed her life.
Now in her twenties, Charlotte and her partner are approved as ‘back-up carers’ for her previous foster carers, providing valuable care for their children and foster children when they need a much-deserved break.

We’re looking for caring people who can make a real difference to children’s lives.
The initial basic criteria for becoming a foster carer is:
• To be aged 18 or over (there is no upper age limit!)
• To have at least one spare bedroom in your home available for fostering.
Final approval will be based on an assessment, medical and background checks.
